Online, evening and on-campus accelerated courses
Courses are 7 weeks long, and we have 6 sessions per year. We offer online courses as well as on-campus evening courses. And if you want to earn your degree quickly, you can. We can create a degree completion plan that works for your timeline, whether you want to attend part-time or full-time. Plus, this plan is closely customized to your unique needs, thanks to our program’s design.
You can take up to five courses as a non-degree student. After the fifth course, you’ll need to apply to the Undergraduate Adult Education Program before continuing. In most cases, courses taken as a non-degree student can be applied toward your degree.
Credit for Prior Learning
Credit for Prior Learning (CPL) is a tool to help you finish your degree faster. You can use CPL to have your college-level learning recognized by Nichols College and officially counted toward your Bachelor’s degree. Earn up to 45 credits for your professional work experience, including workplace training, military service, professional certifications, and volunteer activities.
In our CPL program, you’ll work with an advisor to build a portfolio that details all the valuable work you’ve done throughout your life and how it directly applies to specific college courses. CPL is a great way to apply your real-world learning to your degree path, making it faster, easier, and more affordable to earn your Bachelor’s.
Earning Credits for Prior Learning takes work, but we are with you every step of the way. Your Student Success Coach will be with you from application to graduation. We are here as a resource to make sure that you feel comfortable with the CPL process throughout your undergraduate adult degree. Our CPL team can identify which college credits you may already have work experience in and help you stay organized so the process is smooth and straightforward.

In addition to flexibility, our Undergraduate Adult program offers affordability—and accessibility. Our tuition is competitively priced, at $385 per credit—making us one of the most affordable, high-quality colleges in Massachusetts. And financial aid is available. Plus, we do all we can to keep a Nichols education accessible. Our transfer credit policy and community college partnerships were created to make it easier to transfer credits—you may be able to transfer up to 90 credits. And you may be eligible to earn college credit for work experience through our credit for prior learning policy.
