Nichols College conferred 504 undergraduate and graduate degrees at its 2022 Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 7, at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass., as keynote speaker Don Sweeney, general manager of the Boston Bruins, shared life lessons from his nearly 40-year career with the NHL.

Bruins GM Don Sweeney to deliver Nichols College graduation address

Nichols College has announced that Don Sweeney, general manager of the Boston Bruins, will be the keynote speaker at its 2022 Commencement exercises on Saturday, May 7, at 10 a.m. at the DCU Center in Worcester. He will receive an honorary degree, along with Gail Carberry, Ed.D., retired president of Quinsigamond Community College, and Rick Green, co-founder and CEO of 1A Auto.

Nichols College names new dean of students

Nichols College President Glenn M. Sulmasy, JD, LL.M., has announced the appointment of Hillary J. Theofane as dean of students, effective April 20, 2022. She is coming to Nichols from Assumption University, where she serves as director of community standards.

Fortune 500 marketing chief to speak at Nichols College

Michael E. LaBroad, one of the country’s top marketing executives, will be speaking on “Connecting and Engaging in these Challenging Days” at Nichols College on Monday, March 28, at 7 p.m. in the Daniels Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

Nocivelli elevated to marketing vice president at Nichols College

Nichols College President Glenn M. Sulmasy, JD, LL.M., has appointed Megan Nocivelli, DBA, currently interim provost, to the new position of vice president for marketing. She will also serve as the interim vice president of enrollment management until a successor is named.

Nichols College reopens student bar after more than a 20-year hiatus, relocates to Dudley Hill clubhouse

Nichols College has launched the Bison Den, a new campus and student establishment, in the newly renovated clubhouse of Dudley Hill Golf Club on Airport Road. The opening marks the first time in more than 20 years that Nichols students have had a campus bar.
